The Hunter House Announces 2nd Annual Jazz Festival

DECATUR, Ga., July 8, 2016- The Hunter House will introduce its second annual Jazz Festival, Friday, April 1, to celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month and support The National Association of Music Education (NAfME) in Atlanta. With Atlanta native and jazz legend Russell Gunn as artist-in-residence, this year’s festival has a blues twist, with the annual Homecoming Series of performances.

Everyone of all ages is invited to the Jazz Festival celebrations. The Hunter House will donate 10 percent of all proceeds from the Jazz Festival to The National Association of Music Education Atlanta chapter. To help spread the word on social media, attendees will be encouraged to use the hashtag “HHJazzFestival” after donating. All donations will go toward supporting art education in minority neighborhoods around the greater Atlanta area.

“Jazz is used to soothe the brain, soul, spirit, and mind. Jazz has been around for many years and The Hunter House wanted to invite the city of Atlanta to enjoy music from the legends like Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie. Atlanta is in for a treat this month,” said Kimberly Hunter, owner of The Hunter House.

The Hunter House is a longtime supporter of The National Association of Music Education and is hoping to gain more educational awareness of art education. For additional information about The Hunter House Jazz Festival event, please follow The Hunter House on Twitter.
