By: Bria Hunter

Twenty three year-old, Colin Russell is trying to find his place in life while in pursuit of happiness in college.

Russell a rising senior at Georgia Southern University is finishing up his major in public relations, and minor in marketing. Prior to coming to Georgia Southern, Russell initially wanted to be an engineer and attend Georgia Tech. When Colin came to Georgia Southern for SOAR and saw the campus he was immediately sold.

Being an older brother taught him how to be a role model for someone and let his environment affect him positively. At a young age, the work ethic and endurance his mother had inspired him to be the best at whatever he put his mind to. Russell wants to go into event planning and marketing for alcohol companies in either Savannah, Ga or Charleston, Sc.

When Russell is not attending school he is either playing lacrosse or hockey. Russell also likes to watch Monday night football when his favorite team is playing, the Green Bay Packers. He also likes to cook and try out new recipes with friends and family.
